10-29-2003: Oh, the horror.

I had one of the most terrible dreams last night... I was actually a spammer. Good lord. That dream disturbed me.

My god I'm a nerd...

10-22-2003: I went to a LAN party this past weekend, at a place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. The couple just moved into it a few months ago, and it's coming together quite nicely.

The LAN party kicked ass. For those of you who don't play computer games, a LAN party is when a group of people get together with their computers in a common location and play networked games together. We all had a friggin' blast.

Dammit, Jim, when are you getting the DS3?

10-09-2003: For those of you playing along from home, I did indeed buy the Blazer. I am absolutely, deliriously happy with it.

I had a local shop (Cyclone Stereo in Ames, IA) install keyless entry and remote engine start last week. That's going to kick ass once it starts getting cold out - I just start the Blazer a few minutes before I leave work, and get into a nice toasty truck. Ooohhhhh yeahhhhhhh.

And no "buyer's remorse," either. I don't regret this one little bit.

----

Bad news. Some friends suffered a great tragedy today - they lost their newest child. The baby boy was born premature on the 21st of September, and spent some time in the NICU. Mother and child were discharged last Friday, after the child had gotten back up to over five pounds.

Early this morning, Thursday, October 9th, the baby was rushed to the hospital, but nothing could be done. I can only imagine the feeling of terrible loss.

Jeff and Cathy, please accept our most heartfelt sympathes. --Stinkweasel staff
